PKCMP: Pai-Khel Copper Mining Project

The Pai-Khel Copper Mining Project is an advanced open-pit mining operation located in North Waziristan. The facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art flotation processing plant, which processes sulphide ores to produce copper concentrate with grades ranging from 22% to 25% copper. This concentrate is transported approximately 1,000 kilometers to Karachi for further processing and export. The project boasts a proven reserve of 30 million metric tons and an inferred reserve of 120 million metric tons, with an average copper grade of 0.45%. These reserves were confirmed through comprehensive geological surveys and core drilling, conducted with the assistance of Noranda Exploration Company (now part of Glencore).

KCMP: Kharsin Chromite Mining Project

The Kharsin Chromite Mining Project, also situated in North Waziristan, is an underground mining operation located in a high-grade chromite region. We operate a dedicated chrome concentration plant at Kharsin, where we process and sort chromite ore based on its grade. This facility enables us to produce high-quality chrome concentrate efficiently. Our operations at Kharsin yield 10,000 tons of chrome annually, meeting the needs of various industrial sectors.

Universal Minerals Trading Company is dedicated to maintaining operational excellence and fostering sustainable growth. Our commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility drives our exploration and mining initiatives, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving demands of the global market.
